The Aim of the Career & Employability Center
Every year about 2000 students graduate from NMetAU. Many of them put themselves such questions as “where to work: at a factory or in a company?", "is it better to work in the field of specialty or in the interdisciplinary field?", "how to find an employer?” etc. There is a real job placement problem in Ukraine, which greatly affects recent graduates. A graduate is able work in any field. But not each work will be useful and efficient, and not each work will bring satisfaction to the graduate. Leading European universities have efficient tools for solving this problem, such as career and employability centers. NMetAU decided to take an active part in solving problems of job placement.
The main aim of the Career & Employability Center is efficient assistance in the NMetAU graduates' employment. The staff and volunteers of the Center are working to stabilize cooperation between NMetAU and companies, to train students of the academy, to stay in touch with graduates, and study the requirements of the labour market.
